A rehabilitated 16th Century thatched village, Kerfec is nestled in the beautiful countryside of the Blavet valley. Within easy reach of medieval towns and the Morbihan coast, Kerfec is ideally situated for, both, lovers of long walks, either, in the woods, along the Blavet river or, on the beach.
This attractive village, rehabilitated by local artisans has retained most of the original features of the houses, which gives Kerfec a typical Breton feel. The historical village, Poul Fétan, also a thatched village, is just a 5 minute walk from Kerfec. If offers a local café, which serves galettes and locally produced cider.
Quistinic, the local village, has a chemist, a doctor, a bar, and a general store for your immediate needs, whilst Baud or Hennebont, which has all amenities, are only a 10 minute drive. The medieval town of Pontivy and the sandy beaches of the coast are only a short 30 to 40 minute drive, north and south respectively.
Kerfec offers 6 charming gîtes, from which you can choose from. They can sleep from 2 to 6 people.
All our gîtes are detached, except for La Boussole, which is attached to La Pérouse, nevertheless it has its own entrance and terrace.
La Zélée and La Boudeuse are also in one main building.
La Boussole and L'Astrolabe have views on the 8000m2 garden. The garden is a great place to relax and read.
In the grounds, there are many areas where our guests can relax to read, soak up the sun or just watch the children.
We have chickens and goats, who are very friendly and always love to be fed!
Our Gîtes
Kerfec offers 6 gîtes.
La Boussole - sleeps 2 with a baby, toddler or young child
La Zélée- sleeps 2 with child or teen
L'Etoile - sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms (apt. in sep. wing of the main house)
L'Astrolabe - sleeps 4
La Boudeuse - sleeps 5

Each have been renovated using natural materials, such as hemp, lime and different types of wood to keep it as natural as possible.
All have most of their original features still apparent, such as the lovely granite stone, the large oak beams and even the smaller window openings.
Each have a private terrace, a garden table and chairs. You can access the spacious garden from all terraces, and you can rest assured that the children can play around and explore the garden.
We have chosen to name our gîtes after naval ships, French navigators, and a special port in Sydney, Australia.

The Local Area
Brittany has an array of things to do and see. We are lucky to be in a region, which is surrounded by the ocean, yet we can also getaway from the coast and come closer to the “terroir”.
Kerfec is ideally situated. 30 minutes, North and South, to the beach or pretty towns to discover.
If it's after a relaxing moment in Brittany or you wish to check out some local artists, 
or even go back in history, by visiting medieval castles, our gites can offer you a great location for all you wish to do!
