Meaning of La Boudeuse
La Boudeuse set sail from Nantes on a round-the-world voyage of discovery commissioned by the French government, in 1766. At the helm was Louis-Antoine de Bougainville (1729-1811), a mathematician and an admiral in the French navy. When La Boudeuse arrived in Rio de Janeiro to rendezvous with the supply ship, the occasion made horticultural history. Commerson's newly discovered plant received a name, bougainvillea, in honor of the admiral. The French admiral would go on to discover French Polynesia. Today, other places where he traveled are also named for him, including Bougainville Reef.
La Boudeuse is the final addition to our hamlet, which can sleep 5 people, very comfortably, in 2 separate bedrooms.
Downstairs, the large lounge area, has 2 large sofas, one of them convertible into a bed, and a plush armchair.
The kitchen is spacious comes fully equipped, with a dishwasher, a 4-ring hob, an oven, a large fridge/freezer, a microwave, a toaster, a kettle, a coffee maker, crockery and pots & pans. The round table can be enlarged to seat up to 8+ people.
There's also a shower room, with shower, hand basin, toilet and washing machine.
Making your way up stairs, straight in front of you, there is another shower room, again, with hand basin, toilet and shower. To your left, there's a double bedroom, and to your right there's the large bedroom with 3 single beds.
You also have access to your own private terrace, with BBQ, table and chairs, with views on the spacious garden and the pool.

We can also offer you 2 separate double bedroom, which have private facilities (toilet, shower and hand-basin). Please add £200, per room per week. So if you have some friends, family or that teenager, who wishes to be independent, please enquire for more details.
All prices are weekly and in Sterling Pounds £. The price announced is the price for 5 people (2 adults and 3 children/teen). For any extra persons, please email for more info.

Changeover day is Saturday.
We are flexible during the low seasons, in order for you to take advantage of the great cheap ferry crossings.

Departure time: Before 10h00
Payment Conditions:
• We ask that you pay 25% for the deposit. This is to secure your booking with us.
• We also ask for the FULL payment to be sent TWO months prior to your arrival.
• A separate cheque of €100 or £100 is to be also sent, along with your final payment. This cheque is not cashed in, however it is a security deposit, and in case of any damages or breakages, an appropriate fee for the repairs or replacement, shall be deducted, and a cheque shall be sent back to you, at your designated address, one week after your departure.
• If you wish to stay less than the week, a pro rata price can be arranged.
